Rebranding Zenlyfe
Creating the rebrand for Zenlyfe was an interesting task and involved developing the logo, brand identity, marketing materials, templates and custom illustrations. The company is a lifestyle brand that aims to excite inner-city youth and men into yoga, meditation and overall wellness. I had to create a brand system that would speak to this target audience while keeping it gender neutral enough to still be inviting to other demographics. Additionally, merchandising is a large part of the companies income. As a result I had to ensure the logo would be scalable and memorable.
Building Sustainability
My primary goal with this project was to design a logo and brand identity that would resonate with the target audience while keeping it sustainable for the client. Zenlyfe is a small business and like many small businesses the owner is wearing multiple hats and often doesn't have the time or the funds to employ a full time social media manager. I needed to keep in mind their limited time and budget and create designs that were sustainable and editable for the client.
Breathing Life Into the Brand
The logo is a modern design of the Hamsa symbol. It is a minimal design with rounded corners to fit in with the gender neutral theme. To go along with this, the logo signature is a combination of a bold type with curvature lines to mix masculine and feminine features. The green brand colours speak to the male target audience but also represent renewal and life which are themes in yoga and meditation. To accommodate the small business needs of the client I created over a 100 organised templates that could be edited in Canva. The client was already using this program and it was great way for them to have ready made designs that ensure brand consistency. In the end I provided my client with a unique brand that stands out from their competition while making it easy for them to maintain their marketing position with my templates. The new branding speaks to the target audience and the logo scales well on the variety of sold merchandise.
